Indonesia
Indonesia is spread across an archipelago of more than 17,500 islands and is home to 240 million people, making it the world’s fourth largest country by population.
More than half of the population lives in poverty. Indonesia is vulnerable to natural disasters, internal conflict and economic crises and has suffered unprecedented turmoil in recent years.
But Oxfam New Zealand is there, working closely with a number of key partners to support a wide variety of projects that improve the lives of people living in rural communities.
