Piglet $40

These little pigs need a new home after theirs was blown away by a big bad wolf! So we’re giving them to a household in Papua New Guinea, where they can be bred and sold for much needed income. You didn’t believe that thing about the wolf did you? As if a wolf could blow down anything. It’s just a wolf.

How does this gift help?:

In Papua and Papua New Guinea, Oxfam works with partner organisations to distribute piglets to families living in rural areas. Rearing piglets is an excellent source of income; when they are grown, bred and finally sold at the market, the money can be used to help pay for school, healthcare and other essentials.

The piglets we provide are always sourced locally and fully vaccinated. We also help facilitate comprehensive training for the families that receive the piglets, to ensure that they are well cared-for as they grow.

Purchases of Oxfam Unwrapped Piglets contribute to our rural livelihoods work in Papua New Guinea and Papua, working to save and protect lives.
